The Dog Guy

Jason Davis, aka "The Dog Guy", is a dog trainer, behavior consultant, and co-owner of The Folsom Dog Resort and Training Center and The Dog Guy.

Jason earned a bachelor's degree at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. While living in San Luis Obispo, he found a nine-month old rottweiler mix, Miller, who ignited his passion for dogs. Miller was such an important part of Jason's life that she was the ring bearer at his wedding.

After eight years in the corporate world, Jason combined his people skills and passion to start his own dog service business and help families enjoy the benefits of a well-behaved dog. While working with multiple dog trainers and behaviorists throughout California, Jason developed expertise in training dogs and their owners.

Jason is proud to have been one of only a few individuals that received client referrals through The Dog Psychology Center, home of Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer. He has learned Cesar's method's by one of a few people trained directly by Cesar. He has learned from many mentors including, Martin Deeley and Marc Goldberg at the International School for Dog Trainers. He is also a proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, a professional organization dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professional and business practices among canine professionals.

Jason can often be found running the trails of the Sierra Foothills with his dog, Molly, as well as with clients’ dogs. In 2004, Jason completed the Western States Endurance Run, a 100 mile foot race from Squaw Valley Ski Resort to Auburn, Calif. Philanthropy is also a passion, he enjoy's raising money for charitable causes and volunteering in the local community. Balancing family life is very important to Jason so he spends as much time as he can with his wife Leah, daughter Annika, and his son Toren.
